Slot

generates a Dictionary entry for a dynamic data field. Parameters are:

• the (definite) name of the dynamic data field (an identifier)
• a description of the dynamic data field, multilingual. This specification is optional.
• an integer, which is another (definite) identifier for the dynamic data field
• type
• if POINTER, COLLECTION, REL_11, REL_1M, REL_M1 or REL_MN has been specified as the type, the type of a referenced object has to be specified
• an Enumeration translation table or a table of defined values for data fields of the types STRING (which can be used with a combobox). This specification is optional.

Member

generates a dictionary entry for an 'ordinary' data field. This is used, to connect the data field to one of the tables named above. Parameters are:

• the data field name (identifier)
• type
• table (see above)

Specifier

assigns a definite number to a name (specifierName). Specifiers generate further names for Dynamic Data Fields: Is there a data field, that has been declared with 'Slot(slotName, ...)',

     specifierName.slotName

is also a dynamic data field (which is different to 'slotName').

Index

assigns a number between 0 and 63 to a Dynamic Data Field. The ClassiX^® System needs this specification when generating an index via dynamic data field (for the implicit assignment of a query function).

Retrieve(. . .)

assigns a number to the call of Pseudo Function Retrieve. The ClassiX^® System needs this number for an implicit assignment of a (real) query function. With a special parameter constellation, Retrieve (...)can only be used in the InstantView^® program code, if it has been logged in the exact same way. Possible is any reference number between 0 and 63. If calling retrieve doesn't provide any objects, it is necessary to specify the return value type:  Retrieve(expression, n) returns typeName
Retrieve with more than one access path Retrieve(expr₁, ..., expr_n) always provides a (special)object. A type specification for the return value is not necessary for this form.

Starting the ClassiX^® System, it builds a transient system dictionary out of the section specifications. Descriptive text for dynamic data fields are swapped in file CXSTRING.003.
